Support your local DX Association

For myself here in north Texas, it's the Lone Star DX Association. One could get by without the support of other experienced DX'ers, but why? Although I've been a Radio Ham for 35 years, I still need a little Elmering now and then. Through the support of experienced DX'ers, I do find answers to many questions on where to look, how to make the contact, Pile-up Etiquette. Well, Pile-up Etiquette is sort of an oxymoron but yes, there is the proper way to enter a pile-up, make the contact, and then QRT in the DX station's log without getting too stressed out.

DX Associations, as the ones listed below, raise the most needed funds for DXpeditions. DXpeditions are costly DX Expeditions to areas of the world that have little or no activity by Radio Hams. Often the DXpedition is to some very difficult atoll or island in the middle of the ocean. Boats or helicopters need to be chartered just to reach the location and are very costly. But, the avid DXer finds it worthy to chip in twenty bucks or more to help just so he (she) can finally log that hard to obtain entity in the log book. That's one more toward the most coveted DXCC Honor Roll. Below are a list of DX clubs and associations that did help fund a recent DXpedition. So please, support your local DX club!
